This battery kit is solely designed for back-up use. In the above listed Estate Swing systems, the gate openers run entirely off of the transformer input. When that input is absent then the gate opener switches over to the battery backup for approximately 6 to 10 cycles. The incoming power charges the batteries between cycles. The two batteries in this kit must be used in series.
