The Estate Swing 433 MHz 2 Channel Receiver (433ESREC) has the ability to control two separate devices or two different relays on a control board and can learn up to 400 codes. The typical situation for the receiver controlling two devices in a 3 car garage. Usually, there are 2 separate garage door openers in this type of garage and you can utilize the one receiver to control each one of them with a separate button on the remote. Another option for using the two relays on the receiver is controlling two separate terminals on a single gate opener. Many times gate openers will have a terminal for an automated open and close and another terminal for partial opening or open only during re-closing without stopping. A second button on the remote could be used to control this second function.
This receiver is also a plug-in receiver for Estate Swing gate openers. Please see the drop-down options.
GateCrafters.com is the DIY factor. GateCrafters.com further adds to most of our gate openers for easier DIY installation. We have developed exclusive components (example: easy adjustable mounting brackets), customized instructions, and offer a full spectrum of accessories to truly cover all aspects of the installation of your gate opener. In addition, we have the largest staff of factory trained technicians in the US.
Easy Wiring: There are 4 or 6 wires that you need to connect depending on if you are using 1 or 2 channels. Two are for power, which can be AC or DC 12-24V. If you cannot find a power source (most gate openers have a battery you can run it off of) then you can hook it up to a transformer. (Search your junk drawers, many old transformers from other electronics may fall within the generous range allowed by our receiver). The other two wires close a circuit. On a garage door simply find the two terminals that the wall mount button uses.
Strong Range: This is one of the best features of this receiver. The range is rated at 300 feet but many times it can exceed this.
Learn Button Programming: Simply press the learn button on the receiver. A light comes on. Then press the button on the remote you wish to use and the light blinks and turns off. Done! Repeat with other remotes or buttons. This receiver can learn up to 400 remotes
Versatility: Because of the simplicity of the receiver, it can be used to just about any purpose. On Estate Swings there is a second open command terminal for partial openings, you can use this receiver to allow a dual button remote to open your gate fully or partially. On Apollos and GTOs, there are open only terminals, you can use this receiver to create safer automation for multiple remote control users by only allowing them to open the gate and letting auto-close close the gate - great for condos and other public entrances so they cannot accidentally reverse the gate on another car. For any accessories that are not wireless you can use the 433UNIADP 433 MHz adapter paired up with this receiver to make it a wireless device. In addition to all that, it has both a normally open and normally closed connection, allowing it to either open a circuit or close a circuit wirelessly - we have had hundreds of customers that came up with many other great uses for this device.

The Gate Crafters sensor is a multipurpose exit sensor and vehicle detector that allows hands free access; and, because of its simple design, it is compatible with most gate openers including the Estate Swing, Apollo, Zareba, and many others. The single piece design provides the installer with a simple installation procedure. The Gate Crafters Exit Sensor is buried in the ground so a potential intruder or vandals do not notice it. The Gate Crafters have a wide range of power supply options from 9V to 41V AC or DC. Low current consumption makes it an excellent choice for solar power applications.
The Gate Crafters sensor uses a passive probe sensor to detect changes in the earth's magnetic field. These changes are caused by a movement of ferrous metal objects such as a car in the proximity of the probe. The sensing area of each probe is in the shape of about 15-foot circle. The size of this detection circle changes with the size and speed of the moving car. The Gate Crafters sensor can be buried in the ground about 6 inches deep parallel to the paved driveway. It also can be placed 2 inches deep in asphalt or concrete under the path of the vehicle.
Note: Exit wands/sensors should not be used on properties in which the driveway gate is designed to keep in pets, children or livestock due to the possibility for unintentional openings. Our suggestion is to use a keypad for exiting so the gate will only open when it is intended to by code.

Access Control: Can be used as a free exit vehicle detector for gates, overhead doors, and parking barriers.
Safety: Can be used to detect moving vehicles in an environment where there are blind areas along the driving path and actuates warning lights.
Energy Conservation: Can be used to detect moving vehicles along a driving path or driveway and turn lights on only in the proximity of the vehicle.
Security: Can be used to detect approaching vehicles or an unauthorized movement of a parked vehicle and actuate alarms, video cameras or vehicle annunciators.

Use this formula to calculate how far from the gate the loops should be placed so that by the time a car reaches the gate, the gate will be completely open:
Exit Loop formula: x*(y*1.46)=z
x = time for gate to open in seconds.
y = Desired MPH to reach gate.
z = how far from gate.
FYI - 1.46 converts miles per hour to feet per second. We also recommend adding in 10 to 20 feet so the gate is fully open at a comfortable distance
from the
gate.
For placement of a safety loop before and after the gate use the formula below. A safety loop is designed to stop the motion of the gate before the
car reaches
the gate. The distance below should give an ample amount of time for the gate to stop before hitting a vehicle:
Safety Formula: 4 feet before a closed gate and after an opened gate.

“We are always getting questions about how gate exit wands work and how they are different from exit loops.
Exit wands are what is know as a magnetometer which senses changes in the Earth’s magnetic field. An easy way to explain how exit wands work is to picture a boat traveling through the water. As the boat is traveling it is creating waves. As your car travels through the magnetic field of the Earth it creates similar waves, like the boat. The exit wand’s magnetometer picks up on these waves as you travel by the wand. One downside of exit wands is that they do lose sight of your vehicle when it is stopped.
Gate Crafters carries 5 different types of exit wands that work very similar to each other. The only difference between these wands is some of their features. The GTO/PRO wireless exit wand is wireless between the magnetometer and receiver. The Gate Crafters exit wand is manufactured by EMX and has been around for years. The GTO exit wand is recommended for use with other GTO openers and accessories. The Estate Swing exit wand does come with a range control board that allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the magnetometer. This feature allows you tune down the range of the exit wand so that vehicles such as a lawnmower don’t set open your gate, but this isn’t a complete failsafe, as it will still operate the gate opener when something is nearby. The Estate Swing Deluxe Exit wand is the most different from the other exit wands. It is constructed out of copper and features a ground cable that attaches to a grounding rod that helps protect this exit wand from lightning strikes. The other 4 exit wands do not have this feature and are susceptible to damage from lightning strikes. Also, the Estate Swing Deluxe Exit Wand comes with a 5 year warranty, which is longer than any other exit wand we sell.
Exit loops differ from exit wands in that they are buried in the driveway in a loop and are wire to the gate opener. The way exit loops work is that they detect the presence of metal (your car) above the loop. It does not matter if your car is moving or not, the loop will detect the car. Besides being used to exit your property, exit loops are used for safety. When exit loops are used as a safety device, they will prevent your gate from closing on your car, when they detect a car nearby to your gate. The exit loop is wired to an exit loop detector, which is then wired into your gate opener’s control board.

The EMX NIR-50-325 is the upgraded version of the NIR-50. This model is the perfect installation to remain within compliance of UL 325 standards for automatic operation systems. This feature is the major difference between this new upgraded model and the previous version. Classified as an external entrapment device, this retro-reflective photo eye is used as a type B1 non contact sensor for safety and protection. UL325 requires continuous monitoring of all safety devices that are to be connected to a gate or door opener. Class I and II gate openers must have a safety audio alarm functioning properly at all times to protect any object in the activation area of the sensor.
The NIR-50-325 photo eye is an accessory part for a gate system that is configured for normally closed systems. It is meant to be installed alongside a new or already existing gate system. A red LED indicator provides assistance to technicians when aligning the photo eye with the reflector during installation. A yellow LED is used as the signal stability indicator between the sensors. Once the photo eye is installed, the reflective technology directs an infrared beam to the reflector and back to the photo eye again communicating any obstruction in range with a response time of 10ms. UL325 requires continuous monitoring of all safety devices that are to be connected to a gate or door opener. Each gate application requires its own unique monitoring method and it is advised to read the instruction manual from the manufacturer for your particular application. This retro-reflective photo eye equipped with extended range of 50 ft. and was designed to be used with gate operators, overhead garage doors, and other parking barriers.
