EMX NIR-50-325 Safety Photo Eye

The EMX NIR-50-325 is the upgraded version of the NIR-50. This model is the perfect installation to remain within compliance of UL 325 standards for automatic operation systems. This feature is the major difference between this new upgraded model and the previous version. Classified as an external entrapment device, this retro-reflective photo eye is used as a type B1 non contact sensor for safety and protection. UL325 requires continuous monitoring of all safety devices that are to be connected to a gate or door opener. Class I and II gate openers must have a safety audio alarm functioning properly at all times to protect any object in the activation area of the sensor.
The NIR-50-325 photo eye is an accessory part for a gate system that is configured for normally closed systems. It is meant to be installed alongside a new or already existing gate system. A red LED indicator provides assistance to technicians when aligning the photo eye with the reflector during installation. A yellow LED is used as the signal stability indicator between the sensors. Once the photo eye is installed, the reflective technology directs an infrared beam to the reflector and back to the photo eye again communicating any obstruction in range with a response time of 10ms. UL325 requires continuous monitoring of all safety devices that are to be connected to a gate or door opener. Each gate application requires its own unique monitoring method and it is advised to read the instruction manual from the manufacturer for your particular application. This retro-reflective photo eye equipped with extended range of 50 ft. and was designed to be used with gate operators, overhead garage doors, and other parking barriers.
Made from strong, rigid ABS plastics the enclosure provides complete structural integrity from resistance and force. With an environmental protection rating of IP66 this code indicates how tight the mechanical housing is against water and dust. This ingress protection rating indicates the sealing effectiveness which was designed to be effective against various weather conditions. The Oview/A display programmer is designed to program and control the automation of gates, garage doors, and road barriers. Any device within the NiceOne series that has a "BusT4" connector is compatible with this programmer.

The Oview/A display programmer is only compatible with devices that have a "BusT4" connector such as the Apollo. The Nice Opera system consists of various transmitters, receivers, and control units that have that specific connector. Also, there are other software and hardware that work well with the programmer.
