This lock is designed to prevent removal and theft of your operator arm. This pin replaces the clevis pin at the front mount, where the arm attaches to the gate.

Photo beams are generally used in two places on swing gates: right past where the gate(s) are closed and right past the end of the swing of the gate(s). On slide gates: right next to the gate. The beams are designed to be used much like on your garage door opener – if something breaks the beam while the gate opener is moving it will stop it from moving any further and causing damage.
