The Nice Apollo 1600 Dual Actuator Swing Gate Operator is designed for gates up to 16 feet long and 600 pounds each. The Apollo 1600 is extremely easy to install and is a fantastic choice for residential, farm, ranch, or light commercial applications.

Nice Apollo 1600 816 Linear Actuator Dual Swing Gate Opener The Apollo 1600 is the basic version of the two Apollo linear actuators. Apollo is known as the premier solar gate opener due to its low power consumption and large battery capacity. Designed for ranchers and built in Texas, this opener allows you the flexibility to position the operating arm on the inside, outside, left side, or right side of the gate, operating in either pull or push mode. This provides you with the freedom to adapt the gate opener to the contours of your property. The Apollo 1600 Dual Gate Opener is a low-voltage system, eliminating the need to run 110 AC power to your gate. Simply run 14-gauge low-voltage wire to a household outlet within 1,000 feet of the operator or use Gate Crafters solar panels (sold separately). With Apollo's generously sized CBOX636 control box, you can accommodate a larger battery than most gate operating systems. A larger battery means more cycles during power outages or periods of low sunlight (if solar power is being used). A fully charged deep-cycle battery will provide up to 300 cycles or an average of 30 days of use on a basic system before requiring a recharge (battery not included). Each cycle consists of a full open and close, taking approximately 15 seconds in each direction. **For this board to function a UL 325 photo eye safety device must also be attached to the board and used in the operator system. The following tools and supplies are suggested in the manufacturer manual for optimal installation. They are not provided by Gate Crafters, however, most tools are available at local hardware stores for purchase or rental.
- Welder, unless optional bolt-on pivot arm (P/N 446) is used.
- Basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc..)
- Bubble Level (for ensuring pivot arm and actuator are level)
- Framing square (for determining pivot arm location)
- Wire cutters/strippers
- Drill and assorted size bits
- Hardware for mounting control box
- Electrical conduits, grommets, asphalt patch, etc. as needed

The Nice Apollo MOFB Moon Photocell detector prevents gates from closing on obstacles in its path. With the latest in photocell technology, the Blue Bus communication system reveals obstacles situated on the optical axis between the transmitter and receiver. These safety components ensure children, pets, and other objects stay out of harm's way.
This advanced gate safety system is easily installed with a mere two wires, and maintenance is minimal. These photocells do not require any special work aside from checking them once every six months to evaluate their condition. The units are vertically wall-mounted.
