The GPX-SL25 can be used on driveway gates in residential or light commercial settings, and is compatible with gates constructed of aluminum, steel, wood, or chain link. It can be plugged into any standard household outlet using the provided transformer, so there is no need for an electrician. If a power outlet is not within 2,000 feet, the GPX-SL25 can still be operated using solar panels (sold separately). All power for the motor and accessories is drawn from an included 12V DC battery, which also powers the motor during a power outage. The internal battery comes with a standard 12-month warranty but generally lasts between 3 to 5 years, depending on environmental and usage conditions.
The GPX-SL25 gate opener, made by GTO, Inc., features a Heavy Duty GPX-SL25 Series Control Board that provides unique control over the opening and closing of sliding gates. The Control Board includes adjustable obstruction sensing in both open and close modes to minimize damage to the gate and any obstruction during periods of impediment. It also allows users to adjust the system for auto-closing and gate sequencing. The system includes a built-in internal friction disk brake/lock designed to prevent forced entry. Additionally, the GPX-SL25 comes with a heavy-duty transformer built to resist power surges and static charges.
