“The LiftMaster LA412 and LA412 single solar gate openers are rated up to 850 pounds or gates up to 16 feet in length. The LA412 kits come with your choice of control board enclosures, a 10 watt solar panel, and your choice of transmitters. LiftMaster gives the LA412 a 2 year warranty.
The LA412 has a lockable release that allows you to unlock the arm, so you can manually open your gate. The motor on the LiftMaster LA412 is about 2 and 1/4 inches in diameter and about 4 inches long. The worm drive gear transmission is made up of stainless steel and brass gears. The gear transmission spins a shaft that both controls the screw drive as well as the limit switch system. This shaft is riding on sealed ball bearings. This gate opener has an additional limit switch that tells the gate opener, that the gate has been unlocked. This is a well made gate opener, with the only exception being that the limit switches are electric and not magnetic. This type of limit switch is prone to contamination and may need to be replaced at some point in time.
The LiftMaster LA412 has the option of two different control board enclosures. Each control board enclosure contains the same LiftMaster control board. The control board on the LA412 and LA412 has all of the necessary plugins for any accessories you wish to add to your gate opener. These can include exit wands, exit loops, edge devices, various safety devices, and locks. One down side of this control board is that it is very complex.
The larger control board enclosure, is made to hold a larger battery that you must provide. One downside of this box is that it does not hold a larger group size 24 deep cycle marine battery in this box. A battery of this size will be beneficial to you if live in an area that does not get a lot of sunlight for some periods of time. The standard control board enclosure comes complete with 2 batteries.
When you order from GateCrafters.com, you have the choice to choose the transmitters. Gate Crafters includes 2 transmitters of your choice, you can either receive LiftMaster transmitters or you can choose the Estate Swing transmitters. When you choose the Estate Swing transmitters you will receive an addition receiver. A couple positives of the Estate Swing transmitters is that we have successfully tested them up to ranges of 1400 feet, they are less expensive than the LiftMaster transmitters, and you will be able to use the Estate Swing wireless key pads as well.

The following tools and supplies are suggested in the manufacturer manual for optimal installation. They are not provided by Gate Crafters, however, most tools are available at local hardware stores for purchase or rental.

The LiftMaster INSL24UL 24VDC Heavy-Duty Industrial Single Slide Gate Operator features a brushless DC motor capable of continuous-duty. Operator speed is variable from 0.5 ft./sec. to 1 ft. sec with soft start/stop. The INSL24UL's recommended capacity is rated for gates up to 70 ft. in length and weighing up to 2,200 lbs.

LiftMaster INSL24UL 24VDC Heavy-Duty Industrial Single Slide Gate Operator
Reliable
The INSL24UL control board has onboard status LED’s that indicate the status of the operator. The quick close feature prevents unauthorized access which stops vehicles from tailgating. Operator is protected by an outdoor rated (NEMA 3R), 12 ga. steel, weatherproof cabinet. The security+ 2.0 receiver can handle up to 50 remote controls to be programmed to the operator.
Powerful
This operator is powered by AC by default and the operator kit includes (2) 12 Vdc, 7AH batteries. The built-in battery backup feature provides standby power during an outage. In AC power mode, batteries are charged in the circuit by the integrated transformer and only require the included (2) 12 Vdc batteries to be installed.
Solar
Solar panels (not included) can also be used to deliver power to the operator and panels can be wired for either 120 Vac or 240 Vac. The included 7AH batteries are only suitable for AC and power standby modes. For solar panel installations (2) 33AH batteries (not included) are strongly recommended for optimal solar performance and must be facing north. Solar application requirements accommodate a minimum of (2) 10 Watt solar panels up to a maximum of (6) 10 Watt solar panels.
*The 33AH application requires battery harness K41-0102-000. The use of photoelectric sensor heaters are not recommended in solar applications.

The INSL24UL is UL listed with advanced sensors and monitored safety protection devices that are tested together to deliver a secure system. The LiftMaster S505AL monitored small profile resistive edge and LMRRUL monitored retro-reflective photo eye are included with the INSL24UL to provide the entrapment protection which is required for slide gate applications.
*A minimum of two independent monitored entrapment protection devices are required to be installed according to the UL 325 Entrapment Protection Requirements.

The myQ Smart Facility Access cloud based solution keeps you up to date and in control of all of the facility’s access points. The ultimate operator for environments such as manufacturing, transportation, municipality, utility, and warehouse locations. Managers with access to the myQ Facility Management Application can monitor entrance and exit access in real-time and track current open/close gate status. This additional feature uses internet connectivity to control the gate from anywhere.
