The LiftMaster/Chamberlain LA412 Single Gate Opener is a low-voltage system, eliminating the need to run expensive 110-volt AC power wiring to your gate. The included 10-watt solar panel charges the battery, so there’s no need to connect to any other power source. Furthermore, the LA412 meets the high safety standards of the UL 325 listing, ensuring it is a reliable and safe gate-opening device.
The LiftMaster line of gate openers now features built-in MyQ technology. This allows you to control your MyQ-enabled LiftMaster devices directly from your smartphone. When connected to the LiftMaster 828LM Internet Gateway (not included), you can take full advantage of the built-in MyQ connectivity. The ordering options for the LiftMaster residential gate opener series involve selecting your desired frequency and the size of the control box. The standard box measures 14" x 10" x 6," whereas the larger upgraded box measures 20" x 17" x 6."
There are two options:
Standard Box:Comes with the standard control box.
Large Control Box:Comes with the larger, upgraded control box. (Please note that the larger box is designed to store a larger battery—batteries are not included with the larger box.)

You can simply purchase two single gate opener systems, and with the built-in network communication, these two systems will work together as a dual opener system.

CONTROL BOARD, EASY READ DIAGNOSTICS - The LED light diagnostic on the control board permits easy diagnostics of problems or missing connections. This allows efficient repair and swift continuation of normal electric gate operation.
SOFT START/SOFT STOP Soft start/soft stop is a feature in which the control board, during the set up process, learns where the opening and closing points are for the swing of the gate. Then during normal operation the gate operator automatically slows the motion of the gate to smoothly meet with the gates destination point. This reduces stress on the gate and operator for extended functionality.
BI-PART LATCH - Designed to allow one gate leaf to begin opening or closing independently for those gates that have overlapping leaves.
ADJUSTABLE CLOSING TIMER Set your gate to close between 0 and 120 seconds after reaching the full open position.

“The LiftMaster LA412 and LA412 single solar gate openers are rated up to 850 pounds or gates up to 16 feet in length. The LA412 kits come with your choice of control board enclosures, a 10 watt solar panel, and your choice of transmitters. LiftMaster gives the LA412 a 2 year warranty.
The LA412 has a lockable release that allows you to unlock the arm, so you can manually open your gate. The motor on the LiftMaster LA412 is about 2 and 1/4 inches in diameter and about 4 inches long. The worm drive gear transmission is made up of stainless steel and brass gears. The gear transmission spins a shaft that both controls the screw drive as well as the limit switch system. This shaft is riding on sealed ball bearings. This gate opener has an additional limit switch that tells the gate opener, that the gate has been unlocked. This is a well made gate opener, with the only exception being that the limit switches are electric and not magnetic. This type of limit switch is prone to contamination and may need to be replaced at some point in time.
The LiftMaster LA412 has the option of two different control board enclosures. Each control board enclosure contains the same LiftMaster control board. The control board on the LA412 and LA412 has all of the necessary plugins for any accessories you wish to add to your gate opener. These can include exit wands, exit loops, edge devices, various safety devices, and locks. One down side of this control board is that it is very complex.
The larger control board enclosure, is made to hold a larger battery that you must provide. One downside of this box is that it does not hold a larger group size 24 deep cycle marine battery in this box. A battery of this size will be beneficial to you if live in an area that does not get a lot of sunlight for some periods of time. The standard control board enclosure comes complete with 2 batteries.
When you order from GateCrafters.com, you have the choice to choose the transmitters. Gate Crafters includes 2 transmitters of your choice, you can either receive LiftMaster transmitters or you can choose the Estate Swing transmitters. When you choose the Estate Swing transmitters you will receive an addition receiver. A couple positives of the Estate Swing transmitters is that we have successfully tested them up to ranges of 1400 feet, they are less expensive than the LiftMaster transmitters, and you will be able to use the Estate Swing wireless key pads as well.

The RSL12UL opener is designed for professional installation only. Due to the nature of the 120VAC power, it is essential to have a trained professional, such as a certified electrician, install the gate opener. Gate Crafters does not consider the RSL12UL to be a DIY product.
